Also known as Grey-Hooded Parakeets or Aymara Parakeets, Sierra parakeets are native to northern Argentina and Bolivia. Incredibly rare in aviculture in the United States, there are only a handful of us actively working with these birds presently. Expecting to begin producing in April/May of 2022, these offspring will be dedicated to private breeding efforts for the first year or so as we attempt to expand the breeding populations in the states.
