Yellow-chevroned, aka Canary Wing Parakeets

Brotogeris parakeets are a medium sized parakeet native to Central and South America. There are two commonly kept species in the U.S., Brotogeris chiriri - the Canary-wing Parakeet, and Brotogeris versiculorus - the White-wing Parakeet. They are often collectively referred to as "BeeBee" parakeets, and often, people will advertise White-wing as Canary-wing mistakenly, but they are distinctly different species. These birds make excellent pets and are great for families with children or families living in an apartment. They are relatively quiet, the males are known to be excellent mimickers, and they have a playful disposition. They are gregarious eaters that take to new foods well!
I am currently handfeeding two unrelated clutches of Canary Wing Parakeet (Brotogeris chiriri) babies and one clutch of White-wing Parakeet (Brotogeris versicolurus) babies.
Babies are DNA sexed and tested negative for Polyoma and PBFD. Babies will be weaned on a diverse diet of raw whole foods, sprouted seed, and a high quality dry seed blend.
A 50% nonrefundable deposit is required to hold any baby until weaning. Babies are first come, first serve, and deposits get first choice on available babies. Babies will be ready to go home at 10-12 weeks of age.
